A little warmth while charging is expected: moving energy into a battery is never perfectly efficient.

Fast charging adds heat

Higher power means more heat, which is why phones often slow charging as the battery fills.

Using it at the same time

Gaming or navigation while charging stacks two sources of heat on top of each other.

When to stop

If the phone becomes too hot to hold, unplug it, remove the case and let it cool. Persistent heat is worth a service check.
