UPI is quick and convenient, and a few habits keep it that way.
Receiving never needs a PIN
If anyone asks you to enter your PIN or scan a code to receive money, it is a scam. A PIN is only for paying.
Check the name before you pay
The app shows the registered name for the ID you are paying. If it doesn't match who you expect, stop.
Never share codes
Banks and apps will not ask for your OTP or PIN on a call. Report suspicious requests in your UPI app.
